Privacy Policy

SpotterKey is an independent iPhone app in development. For anything in this policy, write to support@spotterkey.com.

• Your email address. Required, so we can send the TestFlight invite.
• A first name or nickname. Optional, shown to the person you invite so they recognise who sent the link.
• Your invite code and pairing status. A random code, and whether someone has accepted it.
• Basic funnel events. Which page you were on when you reserved, whether you shared an invite, whether it was opened. Stored against a random browser identifier, not against your name.
• Campaign attribution. UTM parameters and the referring site, so we can tell which video sent you here.

We do not ask for your phone number, your address, your date of birth, or any payment details, and there is nowhere on this site to enter them.

We use it to run and read a market test: to email you once when TestFlight opens, to pair you with the person you invited, and to count how many people got from a video to a confirmed pair. That is the entire purpose.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for ad targeting. We do not email you marketing you did not ask for.

• Vercel — website hosting and request logs.
• Supabase — the database holding the waiting list.
• An email provider — used only to send the TestFlight invite when it exists.

If we add privacy-preserving traffic analytics, it will be a cookie-free product that does not build a profile of you across sites.

Until the beta closes or you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the project is discontinued, the waiting list is deleted rather than sold or transferred.

Email support@spotterkey.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your waiting-list record. No reason required. Deleting your record also removes you from any pair it was part of.

These are commitments about the product design, published here before launch so they can be held against us:

• Your app selections never leave your iPhone. Apple’s Screen Time framework hands apps to us as opaque tokens. We cannot read which apps you chose, and we do not receive your screen-time statistics.
• No live location sharing. Location is checked twice against the single gym you set, on your own device. The server receives pass or fail and a timestamp — not coordinates, and not a trail.
• Your Spotter sees outcomes, not data. They are told that you missed a session. They are not shown your apps, your usage, or where you are.
• No public feed. There is no leaderboard, no social timeline, and no way for a stranger to find you.
• You can always leave. Emergency exit, unpairing, revoking permissions and deleting your account are all available from inside the app.

SpotterKey is for adults. It is not designed for, and must not be used as, a parental monitoring or control tool.

If this policy changes materially before launch, we will update the date at the top and email everyone on the waiting list.
