Privacy Policy

SpotterKey is an independent iPhone app in development. For anything in this policy, write to support@spotterkey.com.

• Your email address. Required, so we can tell you once, on the day there is something to open.
• Basic funnel events. Which of the two forms you used, and what you said about the price. Stored against a random browser identifier, not against your name.
• Campaign attribution. UTM parameters and the referring site, so we can tell which post sent you here.
• Page views. Counted in aggregate — which pages were viewed, roughly from where, on what kind of device. Not tied to your email, and not tied to you across other websites.

We do not ask for your weight, your measurements, your photograph, your date of birth, your phone number, your address, or any payment details, and there is nowhere on this site to enter them.

We use it to run and read a market test: to email you once when there is something to try, and to count how many people got from a post to a completed sign-up. That is the entire purpose.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for ad targeting. We do not email you marketing you did not ask for, and every email we send can be unsubscribed from in one click.

Nothing you write here is shown to another person. There is no feed, no group, and no profile — nobody has to know you are trying is a description of how the product is built, not a slogan.

• Vercel — website hosting and request logs.
• Vercel Web Analytics — counts page views and visitors. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device, and does not follow you to other websites.
• Supabase — the database holding the waiting list and the answers described above.
• An email provider — used only to send the one launch email when there is something to open.

Those are the only third parties involved. There is no advertising network, no social media pixel, and nothing that follows you to other sites.

Two small things get stored in your browser. Neither identifies you, and neither is readable by any other website:

• sk_session (local storage) — a random identifier that lets us count one person once. It is not your email and is not linked to it.
• sk_attribution (local storage) — the UTM tags from the link you arrived on, so a reservation can be credited to the video that earned it.

Vercel Web Analytics sets no cookies of its own. This site sets no cookies at all. Clearing your browser data removes both, and nothing about the site breaks if you do.

Until the beta closes or you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. If the project is discontinued, the waiting list is deleted rather than sold or transferred.

Email support@spotterkey.com from the address you signed up with and we will delete your waiting-list record and everything attached to it. No reason required.

These are commitments about the product design, published here before launch so they can be held against us:

• No weight, no measurements, no photographs. The app has nowhere to enter a starting weight, a goal weight, or a body measurement, and no camera feature. It does not ask what you ate.
• Your reason is what the writing is based on — nothing else. The messages are written by AI from what you told it once. It is not reading your photos, your messages, your health data or your location to do it.
• Answering “I’m giving in” costs nothing. There is no penalty, no lost streak, and no follow-up question later asking whether you really did it.
• No public feed, no group, no sharing. There is no leaderboard, no timeline, and no way for another person — a stranger or someone you know — to see that you use this at all.
• Your app selections stay on your iPhone. Apple’s Screen Time framework hands apps to us as opaque tokens, so when SpotterKey notices you opened a delivery app, it learns that and nothing more. We could not read which apps you chose even if we wanted to, and we do not receive your screen-time statistics.
• You can always leave. Turning reminders off, revoking permissions and deleting your account are all available from inside the app.

SpotterKey is not a medical service and gives no dietary or medical advice. If you have or have had an eating disorder, this is not the right tool, and we would rather say so here than sell you a subscription.

SpotterKey is for adults. It is not designed for, and must not be used as, a parental monitoring or control tool.

If this policy changes materially before launch, we will update the date at the top and email everyone on the waiting list.
